Tigo Customers can now call Tigo to Tigo or Tigo to other operators in Rwanda for the same affordable price

Tigo Rwanda customers are now able to call any network in Rwanda for the same affordable flat rate following the launch of the ‘Make the Right Choice” campaign today.

The cost of calling any mobile network has been lowered from Rwf60/Min to Rwf35/Min, similar to the affordable cost of calls from Tigo to Tigo.

In addition to the new affordable rate, Tigo Rwanda has introduced four voice bundles that will reduce the cost of phone calls to as low as Rwf 10/Min.

Tongai Maramba, Chief Executive Officer, Tigo Rwanda, said: Lowering our offnet call tariffs gives our customers the freedom to call more, exchange more and transact more. The rates were reduced by more than 40%, allowing customers to affordably communicate with their business partners, friends and family without having to first switch SIM cards or telephones. Tigo Rwanda is committed to encouraging better information and communication exchange in order to support the advancement of our customers around the country.

Last year Tigo Rwanda announced that it was lowering SMS price for international messaging in the Northern Corridor countries of Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan to support the One Area Network initiative.

The new flat rate tariff announced today is a continued example of Tigo Rwanda’s commitment to ensuring attractive mobile, SMS and data prices for its esteemed customers.

We want to ensure that Tigo users live and love their Tigo experience. Reducing the calls tariffs is a demonstration of our commitment to this promise”, added Tongai Maramba, Chief Executive Officer, Tigo Rwanda.

The “Make the Right Choice” campaign follows the two month-long promotion dubbed ‘Tigo Bonane Jya mu bandi bamiliyoneri’ that concluded on 2, January. The promotion turned 54 lucky Rwandans into millionaires.
