Tigo Staff carry on support to survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis for its third week.



As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Tigo Rwanda staff carried on their weekly support to survivors in Kayonza and Rwamagana Districts of the Eastern Province.
A group composed of 55 staff led by General Manager –donated over 300 Mutuelle cards to needy communities in Rwamagana and Kayonza.
Today’s event marked the third week in a series of CSR activities towards survivors across Rwanda within the 100 days of commemoration of the 1994 Tutsi genocide in Rwanda.

Tongai Maramba, General Manager, Tigo Rwanda said: “We are committed to contributing to bettering the lives of Rwandans and the best way to bring about social change is to provide the right implements to the people who are needy but also passionate and have the zeal to sustain themselves and their families for the long term.”
In recent weeks, Tigo visited Ngoma Sector in Huye District to donate 166 iron sheets to 5 families of survivors.
These initiatives aligns well with the Rwandan government policies to promote economic self-reliance. “Maramba continued.
